Jnana Dakini Simhamukha Thangka
Jnana Dakini Simhamukha Thangka
The Yidam, meditation deity, in this thangka is Jnana Dakini Simhamukha. She is both wrathful and female. Her lion head serves her fierce manifestation. Simhamukha Dakini is revered in the Nyingma School of Buddhism as one of Padmasambhava’s main teachers. As there is much publicly available literature and information about Simhamukha and the practices devoted to her for the benefit of enlightenment, nothing more is added here.
