Vishnu and Consorts
Enthroned Vishnu and Consorts
The set of Vishnu and his 2 consorts, Sri and Bhu Devi, is a lost wax casting in a copper alloy. The throne is not original to the set, and it works to establish a beautiful setting for the trio of divine deities. Vishnu is heavily decorated with jewelry around his neck, in his ears, around his waist. His consorts are wearing jewelry but not as elaborately as Vishnu. The throne has four pieces that fit together to contain the trio of deities. It is adorned with Makaras and a kirtimukhi.
