About Our Gallery

Vigraha is a Sanskrit word signifying, in brief, “a sacred image”. The word pertains to the divine represented in a manifest form. There is a large body of scripture, including, for example, the Vastusūtra Upaniṣad, which governs the essence of form in sacred art.

Our gallery closed in September 2020. While it was open many pieces from our collection were displayed in a setting which emphasized beauty and elegance.

Vigraha is now operating an online gallery with appointments to view a wider selection of the collection. Vigraha is located in the high desert of Arizona.

Our Collection

View art of India, Tibet, Nepal and Southeast Asia – including ritual statuary, paintings, a bit of furniture, thangkas & jewelery.

Our collection was accumulated over many years by founding partner, Lee Lozowick. He traveled a great deal of time in Europe and  the US. Everywhere he traveled, in cities and countryside, he would comb through fairs, galleries, shops and open-air markets searching for treasures.
